राज ठाकरे हे नेहमीच जनतेसाठी शेवटचा पर्याय म्हणून लोकप्रिय आहेत. त्यांचे प्रचारसभेत मुद्दे हे नेहमीच विकासाचे असतात. भारतातील सर्वात सुंदर असा विकासाचा आराखडा निर्माण करण्याचे कामही त्यांच्याच नावावर नमूद आहे . त्यांच्या महाराष्ट्राच्या ब्लु प्रिंटमधील अनंत निर्णय मोदी सरकारने आस्तित्वात आणले व त्यावर कामही सुरु केले आहे.
jet जेट एरवेज मधून जेव्हा अनेक मराठी कामगारांना कामावरून कमी करण्यात आले तेव्हा हे सगळे कामगार राज ठाकरे यांना भेटले व राज ठाकरेंनी पुन्हा त्या कामगारांना कव्हर रुजू करून घेतले.
रेल्वे भरतीतील परप्रांतीय आंदोलन तर राज ठाकरेंच्या यशस्वी आंदोलनांपकी एक आहे.या आंदोलनामुळे महाराष्ट्र रेल्वेत अनेक तरुणांना नोकरी मिळाली.
आझाद मैदानावरील शहीद स्मारकाची मोडतोड करून बिहारमार्गे नेपाळला पळून जात असलेल्या गुन्हेगाराला महाराष्ट्राच्या पोलिसांनी बिहारमध्ये जाऊन पकडून आणले. ही बिहारमध्ये मराठी पोलिसांनी केलेली घुसखोरी आहे असा आरोप करून, या घटनेचा निषेध म्हणून बिहारच्या मुख्य सचिवाने महाराष्ट्र सरकारला खडसावून पत्र लिहिले. यावर उत्तर म्हणून राज ठाकऱ्यांनी ‘यापु्ढे महाराष्ट्रातील पोलिसांना कर्तव्य बजावताना बिहारमध्ये अडवलेत तर महाराष्ट्रातल्या एकेक बिहारी माणसाला घुसखोर म्हणून महाराष्ट्रातून हाकलवून लावू’, अशी घोषणा केली.
राज ठाकरे यांनी आपल्या भाषणांमध्ये मुंबईमध्ये येणाऱ्या लोंढ्यांवर लक्ष वेधले, मुंबई अगोदरच बकाल झाली असून हे लोंढे असेच येत राहिल्यास परिस्थिती अजून बिघडेल, असा इशारा देत त्यांनी उत्तर प्रदेशी व बिहारी लोकांवर आपला शाब्दिक हल्ला चढवला.
राज ठाकरे यांनी इ.स. २००८ मध्ये केलेल्या अनेक आंदोलनात मुंबई व परिसरात नव्याने येत असलेल्या बिहारी व उत्तरप्रदेशी लोकांच्या लोंढाला आपल्या टीकेचे लक्ष्य बनवले, त्यामुळे राज ठाकरे व महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेना हे कायम वादाच्या भोवऱ्यात राहिले.
